Wheat

 Wheat
If you eat too much wheat it can clog up your intestines and digestive system.

In the United Sates 30% of the food eaten is wheat. Some nutritionists believe that wheat consumption should be 6% to 10% of the diet. Unrefined wheat is not bad, but it is best to eat a selection of grains and foods in general, so it is better to eat a mixture of grains than mainly only just one.

Wheat contains gluten which is a tacky substance that gives bread its elasticity. Gluten tends to stick to the walls of the bowels. Many people have a problem with foods that contain gluten and many people have a wheat allergy. When wheat has been highly processed it increases greatly the sticking power of the gluten.

Wheat is processed by milling, bleaching and polishing it, which destroys many of the nutrient benefits of wheat. Vitamin E, which is a valuable vitamin for the body is found in the wheat germ, which is the outside covering of the wheat that is removed when it is refined.

White refined flour turns to sugar in the blood stream faster than white refined sugar.  It makes you think about the type of four you want to eat.
